New ownership, big improvements. Gina was great. Excellent service. I can't wait to see it in a few months.
Good food, margaritas and good service. Lunch special of two tacos with sides is a great deal. Nice outdoor seating in the back. Easy parking.
Great Owners. Deep Cleaning, Fresh Faces, Fresh ingredients and Friendly Staff. Inside and Outside eating. Great place to sit back, have a beverage and get some tacos. They brought over part of their menu from one of their other restaurants as well. You can get Tex Mex and also some of there best items from other locations. Check out pics of menus but besides tacos, burritos and bowls you can get wings, burgers, sandwiches etc. They are bringing this location back and it's here to stay. This side of Downtown Ocala is where you want to be. All the new growth will be over here and Darren, Chris and all the staff will make sure this place will succeed. Thanks for saving this location. Be back soon. We are here early in its stage of a full opening. Can't wait to see this place start rocking again. Outside has space for live music, games and fresh air. See you all again real soon.
Downright the best taco we've ever had, despite coming from Cali where there's abundant authentic taco !!! Our party of 5 had 7 different kind of tacos and every one of them was a hit - Each had its own distinct flavor and so delicious!! After 2 attempts with 1/2 hr wait from other restaurants down the street, we walked in by chance. Service was fast and no wait. Cute, quiet and amazing food, what can you ask for more? Highly recommend!!!!
Stopped in for drinks after going to a lunch spot with horrible drinks... this place did not disappoint! While I can't comment on the food yet ( I will be going back to try it though) I can tell you that the margaritas are delicious and you can not beat the price. $3 for a margarita! A bartender was also very attentive and friendly. The building itself is old but I think it gave it character
Food came out quickly and was fresh. The service was nice the servers were polite. I sat outside at the picnic table and enjoyed the music .
I was in Ocala getting my car serviced and decided to grab a bite to go. This place is located in Downtown Ocala and hidden but a gem. I have read so many reviews on the tacos and the variety and I needed to check them out. When walking into the Sayulita, it's a cool, chill atmosphere. They have their menu blown up on the wall as you wait in the line to glance over. Based on the reviews - the Korean taco was a must try, so I decided on the Korean, the shrimp, and the fresh catch tacos. Looking over their daily special menu was an eye catcher that would definitely bring me back in from mojito Mondays to all day happy hour on Thursdays. Ordering my meal to go was a breeze and I patiently waited for about 10 minutes before my food was brought out to me. Since they were out of blue corn tortilla, I order all of my tacos on homemade corn. Starting with the Korean taco, this was definitely my favorite. The sweetness mixed with that kick of heat was a nice touch and I looked at the taco twice like wow. The bite from the coleslaw was a nice crunch factor into the taco since they were falling apart from the homemade tortilla. The shrimp was good as well, as it came with a boom boom sauce - I would say similar to bang bang sauce. The shrimp was nice and juicy and the pickled cabbage gave it a nice twang. Lastly, the fresh catch which was a crispy white fish - and crisped very nicely. It was topped with the pickled cabbage, mayo, and avocado. This was good but I wish it was blackened to give more of a baja taste. However, my meal was very good and also the prices here are super affordable - each taco was under $5. I really want to go back so I can have a full dine in experience where I can grab a drink and a sweet treat to end with. If you're in the Ocala area looking for chill ambience but great flavor, check out Sayulita Taqueria.
What a great little find in downtown Ocala! I needed a spot that was walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn where we were staying and that also had vegan options, and this was the spot that hit all the marks. The outside is simple and unassuming, but the inside is cute and trendy with a nice outdoor patio as well. Food and service were great. Would definitely come back!
